Description

This picture was inspired by the song of the whales and by the fact that they're fading from our seas and oceans . I was listening to whale sounds records while coloring this one. I had to make this one much darker than it really is, otherwise my scanner wouldn't get all colors and details >_<

Did you know that most sound recordings of large whales are sped up about 10 times? The frequency is so low, that most humans cannot actually hear a whale in real time. Of course, Hollywood loves using these sounds, even though they are an inaccurate representation of whale songs.
