Even Sunflowers Need Rain

Terpsichore had been hard at work lately. It was summer time and everyone at the village was very excited to see how the new soil handled the crops.
Sunflowers had been planted everywhere, those hardy flowers were perfect for the climate in the region. Terpsi's rain powers had softened the earth enough for the humans to be able to plant the seeds, and their hardy nature made it so that she could have longer rests between her "rainy sessions".
Soon the fields became covered in green, and finally yellow.
It was a beautiful sight to behold, the flowers were lovely; The children loved to play hide and seek among them, and would often drag Terpsi with them, although she was a little too big to be able to hide herself well enough not to be spotted right away.
A few days later, the Cavitto mare started catching faint glimpses of movement in the sunflower fields during her morning walks. However, every time she tried to check on what it could be, she was always rewarded with nothingness.
Until one day she saw the large, shadowy figure of an equine behind the leaves and was quick enough to get in front of it before it could get away.
Once she blocked the creature's path, she immediately identified it as being a Cavitto stallion. So far she'd only met with another one of her kind, her own daughter, so she was very curious about him and his reasons for being there.
They stood in front of each other for what seemed like an eternity to Terpsi. She wanted to interact with him, but his gaze was extremely hard to read, and she was afraid of getting off on the wrong hoof. She appeared to be a professional at doing that.
The mare finally gathered the courage and let out a very excited greeting. And a torrent of questions.
"Hi there, my name is Terpsichore. What's yours? Where are you from? Did you fall from Olympus too? What are... you doing... here?" Terpsi was met with the same stare, the stallion had no reaction. He seemed lost in the middle of such excitement and joy.
"Oops... Sorry about that! I..." Still no response.
"I screwed up again. By the Gods, he must think I'm a freak or something. If I could kick myself I would so be doing it right now..." She thought to herself.
Again, they stood there in silence. The stallion looked as if he was analyzing her, which made the mare even more restless and insecure. It didn't take long before she was standing there, her legs trembling, completely unsure of what to do next.
This seemed to get the other's attention at last.
"My name is Fay, I've come from Russia."
Terpsi was even more puzzled now. As much as she tried, she couldn't figure out the blue roan horse's thoughts. He was smiling, but his smile made her feel threatened somehow.
His reply was nice and simple, but she could almost feel his eyes entering her mind and going through every little detail. It was quite frighting! Even so, she was left with an even more intense curiosity towards Fay.
"You must be a Dream Walker" she snorted.
"Was I really that obvious?"
"Kind of... So what are you doing here? You're very far away from home!"
"Your unconscious is very interesting, you know. It's very pleasant in there."
"I uh... That was creepy, but okay. If you say so. You didn't reply to my question though." Terpsichore took one step back at this point. His words had made her even more uncomfortable.
"I wanted to come to this place. I had seen it in someone's dreams, so I tracked it down. I like sunflowers."
If there had been a hole in the ground, Terpsi would have surely hidden inside it the rest of eternity. He had been in her dreams! She felt so embarrassed by it, she would have looked like a tomato if horses could blush.
Fay was looking at her with a gentle expression, but she still felt something was seriously wrong. His presence was menacing, but his tone was nice and his smile was almost child-like.
"What have I gotten myself into this time?" She mumbled to herself.
"Aren't you going to show me around? I'd like to know your home better." There it was again, the creepy smile.
"Uh, sure! W-why not? Follow me."
Terpsichore started walking through the sunflowers with Fay behind her, always looking back to make sure he wasn't plotting anything.
"I hate Dream Walkers..." she sighed.

Hopefully I haven't made Fay completely out of character here xD I tried my best! You're free to stab me with a fork if I did, Vodka! And I'll make sure to do some corrections

Aaaaand another Dream Walker baby coming my way <3 He's going to be Pathos' (my other Dream Walker bby) companion and they're going to cause havoc around everyone unfortunate enough to cross paths with them. And that will be Amara :3

Anyway, I've finally gotten a chance to show some of Terpsi's personality better! She's... special LOL. I lurv her

I hope you like it, Vodka! Sorry this took so long, I decided to make a tutorial with this piece, so that set me behind a little because I could only work on it when I had a scanner by my side. Which can be quite difficult to achieve!
